Irvine Seniors Forum (update Feb2020)

We will be holding another open day in May, watch this space for further details. Tv licences for over 75s will end on June this year. Our forum will be on the streets campaigning to reverse this decision.

Community Reps

Members of our group are community reps on the Irvine Locality Partnership where we represent the views of the elderly.

Meetings

Our regular monthly meeting held in the Woodlands Centre Kilwinning Road on the last Tuesday of the month from 1-30 till 3-30 pm , the meetings are open and you are welcome to attend .

The meetings are very informative and provide information on issues relevant to Irvines senior citizens. At our Febuary meeting there was a presentation from Alzheimer Scotland which highlighted the serious issues faced by those suffering and families caring  from demintia and alzheimers.

1 in 3 will be will be affected and this raises serious concerns for the NHS and care in the community, issues that will be a focus for our group.
